Saddle Peak National Park


Saddle Peak National Park is located in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It spreads in a range of 33 square miles (85 km2).
Saddle peak National park took place in Andaman region in 1979, spans an area of 33sq.km. It is at anexpanse of 5km from Diglipur the adjacenturban and 200km from Port Blair, which isthe closest airport and the capital of Andaman and Nicobar Islands too.
The woodland of the isles is enclosed by flourishing and plush green and densestifling rain jungles.
The shrubbery is categorizedthroughmoist, warm and mistysteamyweather. The wildlife of this estateincludes Andaman wild pig, water observer lizard, and Saline water crocodile. The mainbirdies are Andaman hummock mynah and majestic pigeon.

By Air
The single airport in Andaman and Nicobar Island is Port Blair which is linked with Chennai and Kolkata. It takes approximately 2 hrs. Kingfisher and Jet Airways are the merelyoperatives.
By Road
Saddle Peak Park also connected by road from Port Blair via Diglipur.GoingSaddle Peak Park from Port Blair via road, need a boat from Mayabunder to Kalighat and then buses are available from Kalighat to Diglipur. Kalighat is connected by two boat facilities from Mayabunder on a day-to-day basis. The advantageof Port BlairDiglipur (Airbornewoof jetty) boat facilitiesalso available twice a week.

Forest Museum Near Saddle Peak
This Museum is situated at Haddo,it is run through the Forest Unit of Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
