This is one of the main reasons that this village is emerging as Dhanis. This region is also popular by the name of Dhundhoti and this was considered as salt production center. It was during the nineteenth century that it was being heavily used in United Provisions and Delhi and it was exporting approximately two lakhs and fifty thousand quintals to Malwa-Rajputana station.

Bullocks and 40 wells were used for the purpose of extracting brine and then ultimately producing salt. It is imperative that salt is one of the chief sources and this forms the part of revenue and they also levied the taxes of Rs.2. It was during the 1903 and 1904 that huge burden of taxes on local people led to creating British government uneconomical. It was at that point of time only that salt industry was going through a revolutionary phase. This also led to a decrease in exports and that was merely 65000 maunds. Moreover, this created a lot of setbacks especially in Sultanpur area. It was in the 1923 that British had to finally shut down their offices and all the salts was thrown in wells and it created a lot of misery in people. It was in year 1972 that this place was declared as Bird sanctuary and then ultimately after a span of 20 years, in year 1989, this place was transformed into National park. It is covering area of approximately 1.42 km2 and it is completed protected area where more than 200 bird species are safe.
